I would like to give some quality rankings to listings in the Simtropolis Archive. There, all of the Schulmania chapters will be posted. Please take a look at updates listed under the categories of ATKINOS or DEVONSHIRE. After reading any updates in those categories (other sections will be added later... these 2 for starters) and post your rankings in this thread. Here's how the ranking system should work for your reviews:

1= readable and that's about all you can say about it

2= not bad... decent text and graphics

3= an average quality update - decent pictures and text

4= good quality text and graphics; a good read

5= excellent quality of graphics and text - you would be willing to read it again and like it

When a particular update is reviewed 5 or more times here, I will have a star ranking posted to show your thoughts of it.

Due to the resignation of Admiral Hestorb as mayor, the position becomes vacated. As governor of Atkinos District, it is my duty to name a successor. I will establish a list of qualifications and post them here and in the Schulmania thread for review. Those who are interested in applying for the position may complete the form and submit it to me. I will then appoint a successor from qualified applicants.

EDIT: Eligibility Requirements -

 For those who are interested in applying for the position of Mayor of Atkiniros, you must meet these eligibility requirements:
1. Be a citizen in good standing of Schulmania (having 10 or more posts in Schulmania Vols 1 & 2 as reckoned by the Vol2Page50 counts)
2. Be willing to maintain a residence in Atkiniros
3. Publicly declare loyalty and obedience to the Supreme Wirdle and her regal minions

To be added to the ballot, each candidate must also specify the following things:
1. Specify which of the three main local voter blocs they represent (Schulmanista, Hestorbian, Purr Union) or independent
2. A catchy campaign slogan for Atkiniros
3. A statement describing your qualifications for, motivations toward, and expectations of the mayor position. Include what you have to offer Atkiniros and your vision for the town's continued growth and development.

Those who have completed the steps above will be added to the official ballot. Applications will be accepted here until Fri 31 Oct 1600 EDT. Thank you for your continued interest in Atkiniros.

I am announcing here, today, my intention to resign as Mayor of Atkiniros. It is a difficult decision to make. But, with my expanded role as Queen of Schulmanicus and my continued focus on exploration of the western Tenne frontier, I have less and less time to devote to municipal affairs. I will release the title of mayor to a suitable successor when chosen. Citizens of Schulmania who might wish to run for this position will receive information soon on how to apply for this important civic job. I have greatly enjoyed my tenure as mayor and plan to continue having my official residence in the town I founded. Please check both here and in the Schulmania thread for further information as it becomes available.
